But the moment I found out about the Key West Aloe skincare line, the American brand that’s best known for all kinds if moisturizers and mists, instantly demanded a spot in my beauty regimen as well. So I got me the five-piece, plant-infused skin care line called “Aloe Twice A Day” and my skin (and nostrils) soon thanked me for them.
Using Key West Aloe’s skincare products every day, here’s how my routine goes:
I start the evening ritual by cleaning my face and neck: Beginning with the thick, moisturizing balm that melts away the dead cells and waterproof eye makeup. It comes with sweet almond oil and floral waxes (ylang-ylang, geranium, mimosa). Then I add a few drops of water to the fine-milled Radiance Boosting Powder (made with rose, jasmine, and orange blossom petals) to make a cleansing foam.
Another way to deep clean my face is by using Oatmeal Facial Scrub, which can be utilized as an exfoliating scrub or a ten-minute mask (rice and oat powders slough dead skin, while apricot kernel oil restores moisture).
I then use the Infused Gentle Aloe Facial Cleanser to tone and hydrate my skin. It comes with a mixture of nine plants and flowers (some are chamomile, damask rose, verbena, and peppermint). As Key West Aloe’s website promised, it is literally a multi-tasker: A few sprinkles of the vitamin-enhanced water can be used to turn the cleansing balm into a lotion, the powder cleanser into a cream, and the clay into a liquid.
Since my skin is normal to dry (during winter mostly), I never skip the moisturising step. Key West Aloe’s Night Moist moisturiser is made with orange blossom, rose, and calendula, and leaves my skin silky smooth (and most importantly non-sticky) in 5 to 7 minutes.
After 23 days, my skin is baby smooth, always smells amazing, always hydrated, and with significantly less redness in the T-zone area.
Displaying those products on my bathroom counter has been a pleasure to the eyes. Just like they do with their candles, Key West Alow elegantly stamps its signature skincare labels with apothecary-like illustrations that are timeless in my opinion.
